Our Team and Volunteers
Our volunteers range from children and parents, to business/product owners. We invite anyone who can take part in our multi-faceted environmental approach that educates and builds awareness by; committing to reducing versus producing more plastic during clean ups. Our team provides out-of-the-box resources and ideas that replenish life’s everyday products with sustainable options and leave our volunteers feeling confident they too, made an impact.
Our history
Passionate about Ocean Conservation at an early age, our founder yearned to ascend the productivity of “Zero Emissions by 2050” by hosting monthly cleanups that educated the public along their volunteering.
As a dedicated Surfrider Foundation Member since 2005, an urgency sparked to create more outreach that created awareness and impact and created Taking the Trash Out: a Non-Profit for Education and Community Resources In 2020.
Our mission
To educate, and further assist the community in acts of service for San Diego and several California Communities. From Clean Ups at Parks and Beaches, to education and resources for the public, Taking the Trash Out aims to help targeted communities where there are less tax dollars at work for the people. We provide hope and environmental aspirations for many years to follow. Join us as we make a difference together!
